Year-round Opportunities to Give Back
Here are just a few of our favorite organizations that can use your help year-round:
Why not raise funds or volunteer for Credit Union Miracle Day? Founded in 2001, it's the credit union difference in action as credit unions join together in support of Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. With title sponsorship of the Credit Union Cherry Blossom Ten Mile Run in Washington, D.C., credit unions and their business partners nationwide host a family of races and other philanthropic events.
Global Women's Leadership Network provides women with the opportunity and resources to make a measurable difference in the lives of credit union members and in their communities, as well as their personal and professional lives. GWLN also aims to tackle the credit union gender gap by mentoring talent, professional development, leadership skills, and service to community and credit union members. There are plenty of opportunities to join, donate or volunteer.
The House of Ruth has been helping women, children and families who have experienced homelessness and domestic violence recover by providing safe housing and supportive care to help them lead stable, independent lives.
The National Park Foundation protects our national parks, connects people to nature and inspires the next generation of park stewards.
Chef Jose Andres founded World Central Kitchen to provide fresh meals to communities in need, offering access to professional culinary training and creating jobs. WCK has provided more than 45 million chef-prepared meals for communities around the world. Whether a donation of time or money, all support is welcome.
