For the second consecutive year, PAHO/WHO Federal Credit Union (PAHO/WHO FCU) has been named one of the American Banker’s Best Credit Unions to Work For®. The Credit Union ranked 9th overall out of the 70 credit unions recognized nationwide. American Banker has recognized credit unions that not only demonstrate their commitment to the communities they serve, but also credit unions that excel in providing a quality workplace for employees.
PAHO/WHO FCU’s commitment to support professional development of its employees, its culture that encourages work/life balance and unique benefit offerings such as health insurance with an annual deductible of just $500 and low copays, were a few of the reasons for the recognition.

The award process began with Best Companies Group reviewing employers’ benefits and workplace policies and practices, followed by extensive employee surveys. In addition to work environment, benefits and employee perks, many of this year’s winners have been recognized for how they’ve supported employees’ work/life balance.
